Cherry Blossom Visual Music: Home

Welcome To Cherry Blossom Music Arts, featuring our show Visual Music, where Art Music meets dance, juggling and mayhem- vaudeville style!

Cherry Blossom Musical Arts is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, based in Eugene Oregon, founded by Paul Safar and Nancy Wood. Our mission is to create performances in which composers collaborate with artists from a broad spectrum of the performing arts, presenting live shows to the community.

In 2005, the Oregon Community Foundation, the Lane Arts Council and private donors sponsored Cherry Blossom’s original production, “Nisse’s Dream, a children’s theater musical”, at Eugene’s Lord Leebrick Theater, delighting an audience of over 800 people.

In 2006, Cherry Blossom produced Visual Music, bringing together composers, choreographers and visual artists in an adventurous show at Lord Leebrick. Then Tsunami Books hosted New Music, New Words, New Moves- two free shows with a literary flair!

Visual Music 2007 was presented on the vaudeville stage at the Oregon Country Fair, complete with musicians, jugglers, sound sculpture and dancers. Aerial arts were part of the mix as Islando Bocock and Ukoiyah Mastin from Dream Science Circus performed high among the trees.

On February 16,2008 Cherry Blossom performed "Eine Kleine Visual Music" at the Axe and Fiddle in Cottage Grove.

“Eine Kleine Visual Music” included Paul Safar’s original art music accompanied by a “fuggling jool”, a tap dancer, a young ballerina, a flamenco diva, two sopranos and loads of fun!

Visual Music 2008 will once agin grace the W.C. Fields stage at the Oregon Country Fair and includes collaboration with the Agnieszka Laska Dancers, who have performed in Mexico and Europe, as well as Dream Science Circus, more juggling and singing, and more new music!
